Welcome to RoDefend Docs
This is the official documentation hub for RoDefend. Use these guides to complete setup, configure moderation safely, and understand how dashboard access and API-based actions work.
Current setup flow
- Run
/setupin your Discord server to begin setup state for that guild. - Add your Roblox Open Cloud API key and Universe ID for each game you want to moderate.
- Set moderation roles and command overrides so only trusted staff can run actions.
- Use
/settingsor dashboard settings to verify game config is complete.
Required permissions
- Discord: Administrator or Manage Server (depending on feature and your policy setup).
- Roblox Open Cloud:
universe.user-restriction:readanduniverse.user-restriction:write. - Dashboard access: server membership + required Discord permissions + completed setup state.
Security and trust model
- RoDefend uses your own Roblox API key per server/game configuration.
- No moderation action bypasses Discord role and permission checks.
- Moderation actions are logged with moderator identity, reason, and case metadata.
- Use least-privilege role assignments and rotate API keys if compromise is suspected.
Troubleshooting: \"Setup required\" in dashboard
- Confirm setup was completed in the same Discord server shown in dashboard.
- Make sure the bot is still in that server and has not been removed.
- Re-run
/setupand verify game configuration saves successfully. - If issue persists, refresh dashboard and check support logs for guild ID mismatch.
